Alex was referred to us by the Honduras Consulate in Taiwan . He was asked to do the impossible which was to help a Honduras citizen situated in Hong Kong renew her passport in less than a week, and was able to use his political connections in government to issue a safe conduct letter to authorize my friend to travel to Taiwan get her Honduras passport renewed. The passport had to be renewed immediately and we were under immense time pressure to get it done. Alex got the job done in one week.

I would definitely recommend Alex to people who need legal advice in Honduras.

Our residency process has gone smoothly and without delay, largely due to the excellent job that Alex Villela has done for us in Tegucigalpa. Picking an attorney was difficult for us with each of several being recommended equally as highly. Thankfully, we went with Alex. After some initial delays in us getting all our paperwork together, Alex filed for our residencies in the end of April 2007. They were approved shortly after and we made a trip to Tegucigalpa to pick them up in the beginning of August where the immigration officer informed us there would be a two month wait for our ID cards to come through. Alex intervened, using his contacts in immigration and had the cards to us 5 working days later. Alex, I’ve thanked you many times and will continue to do so by giving the highest recommendations whenever possible. Alex has also advised and provided counsel in real estate matters related to our clients and our business. Anybody may contact me personally with any specific questions relating to our experiences.

Alex Villela provided me with very personal and professional service in obtaining my residency here in Honduras. He was easy to contact and always answered my questions quickly and thoroughly. I would definitely recommend him to anyone attempting to obtain their Honduran residency.

Thanks,
Brad

It was a pleasure to work with Alex Villaha on our Honduran residency. His thoroughness up front saved us from any time consuming set backs in an already slow process. Alex was always very responsive (and his English very good) to any inquiries we had, which was very reassuring as our application proceeded through this frustrating system. We will continue to call Alex whenever we have any legal needs arise.

Alex....
Just a note of thanks for helping me with my residency papers. I think that the seven months that it took is amazingly quick. Everything went according to plan. Being new to the island it is nice to have an attorney that is politically well connected and speaks such good English. Also, thanks for helping me through the customs procedures. I couldn't have done it without you.

We have found that Alex has been an excellent source of legal knowledge. We recently purchased property in Honduras and found the procedures somewhat confusing. Alex quickly answered all of our questions via email, his bilingual abilities and professionalism were extremely helpful, and just really reassured us. When dealing in a foreign country with a different language & procedures, having someone like Alex, is an invaluable asset. We would definitely highly recommend Alex to anyone needing an attorney, in any capacity.

Overall I would like to say a big thank you for obtaining my residency so quickly. I found your services to be very professional and would not hesitate in recommending you, infact your business card has already gone to two of my friends!

I liked the communication by email and the quick response to my never ending questions. Right from the first meeting you were very efficient in explaining everything i needed to obtain with regards to legal documents and the whole process of obtaining my residency. The updates you gave with regards to the changes in the law were an added bonus.

I know 3 people who have obtained their residecny with you. Their recommendation of your services was the reason I contacted you and I was not disppointed with the decision i made.

Thank you again.

Dear Alejandro Villela Franco,

On behalf of me and my family I want to thank you for all that you have done for us the last 1,5 year.

When we came to the island Roatan we didn't have a clue about all the legal procedures that we had to take to make our stay in Honduras comfortable. We met with you January 2003 and since that time you have been the most helpful person for us on the island.

You gave us all the ins and outs of the legal procedures to become a resident of Honduras. This we want to thank you for. In the process of getting our residency you called with the consul in The Netherlands to set up a meeting for us so we could obtain all the paperwork necessary for the application. We met with the consul in The Netherlands and he was as helpful as you have always been to us.

Because we also needed a company we of course asked you to set one up for us and before we knew it we had our own company that we use for our business.

The times that we met we where always talking about why Honduras is the way it is. Because of all the knowledge you have we now see why Honduras operates and is the way it is. As a lobbyist I think that you are doing a fabulous job. Your family has always done the right thing for Honduras and as a new resident I really appreciate that.

I hope that our relation will be one that will stand for all the years to come.

My family and me personally want to thank you.

We hope to see you soon so we can talk more politics.

As the host of the island's only English speaking program on Magic 107.7 FM, I have had you on my show at least three times. Each time you come on, you are articulate in speaking about Honduran laws and residency requirements. I personally know dozens of people who are now using your services because of your expertise. Thank God you are on the island to help all the foreigners who want to make the residency procedure as painless as possible. You are doing a great job for me as well. I could not have gotten through this without you.

Continued success!

We would recommend Alex Villela to any individual or business wanting to live or operate in Honduras. Alex is easy to deal with, extremely professional, efficient and courteous and he immediately understands what is needed and how to best go about achieving goals. Alex has advised us on a number of different matters and has always delivered on time. It is a pleasure working with him.

Sandra Sampayo, TropicalREZ

Our first attempt at gaining Honduran residency was through the consulate in Chicago. We collected a lot of useless paper and tried to get it processed. The consulate in Miami was much better organised and got us much closer to 'started'. However, it seemed that new processes had led lawyers to believe the processing price should be raised, not to mention stalling on such documents as the police report. In exasperation we searched for yet another, other lawyer and were fortunate enough to engage Alejandro. His fee, and prompt attention to our application left us convinced that there are still honest, gentlemen working as lawyers. Thank you Alex for your help with our application, and for opening an office in Roatan. Anyone wishing to contact us for personal assurances of Alex' integrity use e-mail to davepontefract@hotmail.com

Mr. Villela has been assisting me on a very delicate matter for a number of months that required legal expertise in Honduranian law as well as political connections and lobbying. I am very impressed with Mr. Villela's results and his practices. He kept me informed at every step of the process by e-mail or telephone and delivered what he said he could deliver at a fair price.

In this day and age of suspicion and cynicism about Attorneys I am very grateful to Mr. Villea for his efforts, talents, and integrity. It has been a pleasure working with him on this project and I look forward to participating in future projects with his advice and counsel.

Should you have questions for me directly please e-mail me at OpusVLW2@aol.com or call me directly on my cell phone at 810.691.2002.

Thank you for your time and attention in this matter.

We wish to thank Alex for his expeditious work in the selling of our Sundancer Cabana in Roatan. He was very efficient in answering all communications and in meeting with us to close the deal with the Mettlers. Alex has our strongest endorsement to anyone needing legal services in Honduras.

As a developer on the island of Roatan since 1995 I have come in contact and employed many attorneys, none of which have given my clients and myself the professional service as Alex Villela. His knowledge of the law is excellent as are his work ethics. I think what really separates Alex from most attorneys is his professional communication skills and his quick response on any issue no matter where you are in the world. There is nothing more frustrating to a developer and foreign clients than an attorney, in a different country, who won't communicate with you when you have money on the line. I feel there is no issue that can't be worked through if there is a good line of communications and Alex has proved he is always there anytime I need an answer and he is quick to respond.

Alex Villela is one of the most trustworthy, honest attorneys we have ever used. He answers our questions thoroughly, is prompt in his responses to us and very dedicated to seeing that our needs are met. We would not hesitate to recommend Alex to anyone who needs an attorney on the island of Roatan.

Alex,

Thanks for all your help with our residency. We are completely blown away with your dedication and service. After hearing "it will be ready next month" for nearly four years, Susan and I were a bit skeptical when we changed law firms. But you not only pulled it off, you did it when you said you would, and kept us informed every step of the way. That kind of devotion is very rare indeed here on Roatan. We wish you the best of luck in your new office and look forward to recommending you to everyone we meet.

Thanks

To whom it may concern:

This letter is a testimonial for Alejandro Villela Franco an attorney in Honduras.
Let first say that I've known and used Mr. Franco for many legal purposes a long time. He is extremely efficient and professional. I've used many other lawyers in Honduras and believe me when I say that he is far and above the many attorney's I've used in the past. He is very knowledgeable of the law and with his influence through his contacts, that he can to further a favorable outcome for your cause, which is very important when dealing in Honduras. He speaks very good English and can translate documents proficiently. I wholeheartedly support and recommend Mr. Alejandro Villela Franco. Please feel free to call me for further information. To Whom It May Concern,

Alex Villela represented myself and my wife securing our residency status. I have heard numerous accounts about it taking 6 months to a year and longer with some folks I know. All doing business with the wrong attorney. Alex was very professional in all our dealings, very straight forward and always on time.

Alex got our residency accomplished in record time. If I or my wife are ever in the need of legal services, I know where to go. I would highly recommend Alex Villela to anyone. Please don't hesitate to contact me personally, either in Honduras or the States. First contact me using this email to find out where I am at the time.

Sincerely,
Doug and Suzanne Crawford

We have engaged Sr. Alex Villela, Esq. as our attorney on several Honduran real estate matters. He was very responsive, service-oriented and kept us informed at all times. In addition, he is completely bilingual (English/Spanish) which was of great assistance to us since our ability to speak Spanish is limited.

Sr. Villela was able to complete some very complicated legal transactions for us in a time frame we did not think was possible. We give Sr. Villela, Esq. our strongest recommendation without any reservations.

I have found Alex to be very prompt and effective in providing his legal services. He is very well educated and has the highest level of skill one could ask for in Honduras. I am very satisfied with the service I have received from Alex, and I fully intend to continue using him for the future. Alex also has very important political connections of a high order within Honduras. He can be invaluable to anyone doing business in Honduras or the Bay Islands.

Recently my husband and myself were granted our residency in Honduras. Along with the residency we were granted a dispensa to bring in our household goods. But, we ran into a bit of a problem during the final process of the dispensa, and were having a great deal of difficulty having it completed. We retained the services of attorney Alex Villela, who recently opened an office on the island of Roatan. We were very pleased with his services in every way. We were impressed with Alex, not just for his ability to lobby through the Honduran government to have the matter brought to a successful conclusion in our favor. But, also for his very professional manner in dealing with the matter and us. Alex contacted us on a regular basis to let us know where things were in the process, even when they got hung up, he called us and let us know what happened and what he was doing to get the matter resolved and back on track. If anyone ever has to deal with the Honduran government on any matter we would highly recommend the services of Alex Villela. It is good to see services like those provided by Alex coming to the island.

Dear Alex,

Troy and I just wanted to thank you for your quick response to our request to help us in regard to residency in Honduras.

Although we decided not to pursue getting residency, you continued to help us in our process for getting our money back from the Honduran consulate in Houston, where we had spent $1,020. Our problem was that the consulate was hesitating on getting our money back even though they had not done any processing, whatsoever. We never thought we would get our money back because they would not even answer our calls; but you managed to do it for us and in a matter of 2 weeks since the first time I E-mailed you.

This letter is in appreciation for your hard work for us and to thank you again for your kindness in which you dealt with our situation.

Warmest Regards

Troy and Cindy Beasley

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to hire Alex for resolution of a problem I was having with my land that two other Roatan lawyers got me into a few years ago. The other two lawyers had moved my land out of my name when I had not hired them to do that. Once I discovered what they had done, I demanded action to correct the problem. But, they would not move it back into my name, although I had paid them to do so. The primary lawyer was demanding a bigger payoff to get my land back into my name or he wouldn't move on it. The secondary lawyer was supposed to be the watchdog for the primary one, but was unable to persuade him to budge. This one was aware of the legal action he had taken from the beginning and should have never let it happen.

After several years of stonewalling by those two lawyers, I hired Alex Villela, who is somewhat new to the Roatan landscape. I had no confidence in the first two lawyers, after I had paid them to do a job that they didn't do correctly and paid them again to correct it and they didn't.

Alex was able to use strong negotiations with the primary lawyer to persuade him to make a move. Although a bit of a pay off was still involved in the deal, I was assured that the legal work was done correctly and speedily by Alex. The cost to me was worth it. And the fees that Alex charged me were reasonable.

I have had dealings with several other attorneys besides those two, as well. After being extremely disappointed in their ability to come through on their promises to me after being paid and the nightmare with these two lawyers, I will only use Alex for legal work in Roatan at this time.

Alex has a good reputation, is extremely well informed on Honduran law, and is efficient in his legal process. I give a very high recommendation to him.

Contact me at any time for further discussions on Alex as compared with

Dear Alex

I want to thank you so much for being so helpful in getting Bruce and I's permanent residency. If it wasn't for you we would not have known we were eligable for this. Many thanks for giving us the peace of mind that we will be here for Kenia and able to keep our family together.

My husband and I were one of Alex's first clients and he helped us enormously with the intricacies of establishing residency in Honduras. He was efficient in his work and delivered our residencies as promised. He also went above the legal necessities of business and helped us understand some if the nuances of Honduran law, which has served us well as we consider Honduras our home country.

I would certainly be comfortable using Alex's legal services in the future.
